Super Quality!

This is the first time I have bought from Lunar Watch Straps. I’m a bit of an addict when it comes to watch straps (and watches for that matter!) and have many in both Leather and Nato. I had thought of trying Perlon for some time but have been put off by most seeming to be made from thin net like material with buckles looking like pressed tin. Those from Lunar though, looked very different so I decided to give them a go. Picking one colour proved difficult so in the end I ordered three, Blue, Green and Orange. They arrived well wrapped in super quick time, each in a lightweight but useful cloth pouch. Everything about the straps is, to say the least, impressive. The material is dense and substantial with just the right amount of ‘give’ and the colours are spot on. Perhaps it is due to the mix of tones in the material but they seem to adapt and suit many watch styles. The buckles are great and appear to be machined from solid steel, as is the tang (not a piece of steel strip wrapped around the pivot). Unusually, on either side of the tang, there are roller tubes. Though I have many Nato straps, there are a couple of things about them that irritates me. There are always (for me) far too many holes for the buckle and the ones which get used soon start to fray. Also the material on good quality ones tends to be stiff and ride high where on exiting the watch over the pins. The Perlon avoids both by having no holes whatsoever and the material being softer, rides well over the pins. My only regret is not including the Grey colour on my order so I guess I will soon be ordering that. One more thing, I should clarify that I am in no way connected to Lunar Watch Straps and I have paid full price for the straps. Sorry if my review seems too good, but I can find nothing negative to say about the straps which I genuinely as being equal to the best I have seen. If that follows through with their other collections, I am sure I will be trying some of those as well.
