Our new Single Pass Straps; a real game changer...

Since launch earlier this year I've been on a mission to develop and produce a better Fabric Single Pass Strap. Single Pass Straps have really come alive over the last few years, but as a customer myself, i struggled to find anything that would compare to the Tudor Fabric Straps in the UK. Sure, there are some options in America that provide what i deem to be a genuine contender, but, as a UK customer i don't want to wait 7+ days for delivery and pay import charges to boot (of course, this is a UK imposed charge and no fault at all of watch strap makers in the US, but it is something a buyer should consider, because ultimately it increases costs). There's also many "Seat Belt" "Herringbone" and even "Twill" Nylon straps on the market now, some of which, i even sell here at Lunar Watch Straps... These are nice alternatives, and i'm proud to have made them available at what i believe is a truly accessible price, but there's always room for improvement....

I started out on my mission around 8 months ago. I wanted to develop a new Nylon weave and improved hardware for a new range of straps that would rival the big brands at a mere fraction of the cost. I hit some obstacles on the way, many of which took months to overcome, but with persistence i finally made a breakthrough. The first samples using our new designs, nylon and hardware arrived from our supply team and they were pretty much perfect. After testing i have decided to go into full production for this range which will bear the name "Lunar Apollo" (more on the name to come). The straps will be available in 6 colours on launch and will feature our new, super soft nylon weave fabric. The pin holes will utilise Ultrasonic technology to prevent fraying and we're improving on the 316L buckles and hexagonal keepers that we first introduced with Luxe. Later next year I will bring to you a custom designed buckle, but, I held off on this for now as (simply put) i was overjoyed with just how good we managed to produce the fabric for these straps, and the new buckle would have held up production for a number of months, pushing the release date out to 2021 which i didn't want.

I expect the straps to arrive in late November, or early December, so it should be a very Merry Christmas indeed. Keep your eyes peeled for further updates!
